This handcrafted coaster set is built for both beauty and performance. The holder is made with a while the six coasters feature Fence-Board Cedar filling the recessed centers with a mixture of wood shavings and glue that I pressed and clamped by hand. They absorb condensation instead of letting it run onto the table, and unlike ceramic coasters, they don't stick to the bottom of your glass when you pick it up.
The holder has a Fence-Board Cedar base with oak dowels to keep the coasters together. This is a good example of the Shaker belief that beauty can be found in how well something does its job.
