Craft Is Stronger Together

Salt Shaker Woodworks x Made by Tuna — charcuterie sets forged in steel and reclaimed wood. Only 5 left.

The Story Behind the Knoon

Just a few doors down lives my neighbor and friend, Nate Grant — better known as Tuna, the bladesmith behind Made by Tuna. Nate is a gifted craftsman, and it felt only natural for us to combine our skills to create something special.

Nate designed and forged a one-of-a-kind charcuterie knife called the Knoon — a cross between a knife and a spoon. Its sharp edge slices meats and cheeses, while the rounded tip is perfect for scooping jams, jellies, or hummus.

To pair with the Knoon, I crafted small charcuterie boards from reclaimed Texas wood. Each board is shaped with a custom cutout, and just below it, embedded magnets hold the Knoon securely in place. The result is a set that blends forged steel and reclaimed wood into something truly unique.

This is a limited run of five sets. One has already sold, and only four remain. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

What Makes This Collaboration Special

Hand-Forged — Made By Tuna

Every Knoon is hand-forged by Texas bladesmith Nate Grant, known professionally as Made By Tuna. Strong, sharp, and unlike any knife you’ve seen before.

Handcrafted — Salt Shaker
Woodworks

Each board is handmade from reclaimed Texas

wood — mesquite, pecan, walnut, oak, and more. No two are alike, and every piece carries its own story.

Magnetic Precision

A precision cutout cradles the Knoon, while

embedded magnets hold it old it securely in place. Practical, beautiful, and made to last.

Limited Release — Only 4
Left

Just ten sets were created in this first collaboration, and only four remain. Whether we make more in the future is undecided — which makes these especially rare.

A Collaboration of Craft

This project is about more than a board and a knife — it’s about neighbors, friendship, and the power of handmade craft.
